Let’s explore the magic of each chakra, from their location to their qualities, sounds, affirmations, actions, and yoga poses.





1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)


Location: Base of the spine (tailbone area) Color: Red

Element: Earth

Sound: LAM

Action: I am

Affirmation: "I am safe. I am grounded."


Yoga Pose: Mountain Pose (Tadasana), Tree Pose (Vrikshasana)


Muladhara is all about stability and security. It’s your foundation, connecting you to the earth and your basic needs. If you’re feeling anxious or disconnected, imagine roots growing from your spine deep into the earth, anchoring you in safety and strength.



2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)


Location: Below the navel, in the pelvic region

Color: Orange

Element: Water

Sound: VAM

Action: I feel

Affirmation: "I embrace pleasure and creativity."


Yoga Pose: Bound Angle Pose (Baddha Konasana), Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana)


This chakra is the center of your emotions, creativity, and sensuality. When Svadhisthana flows freely, you feel joy and inspiration. Feeling stuck? Dance, swim, or simply sway your hips to awaken this energy and reconnect with your creative essence.



3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)


Location: Upper abdomen, around the stomach area

Color: Yellow

Element: Fire

Sound: RAM

Action: I do

Affirmation: "I am powerful. I am confident."


Yoga Pose: Warrior Pose (Virabhadrasana), Boat Pose (Navasana)


Manipura is your inner fire, fueling your confidence, willpower, and action. It’s where your self-esteem lives. If you need a boost, practice core-strengthening poses or visualize a glowing yellow sun radiating warmth and strength from your stomach.



4. Heart Chakra (Anahata)


Location: Center of the chest, near the heart

Color: Green

Element: Air

Sound: YAM

Action: I love

Affirmation: "I am love. I am open."


Yoga Pose: Camel Pose (Ustrasana), Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana)


Anahata is the bridge between your physical and spiritual self, the space where love and compassion flow. When balanced, you give and receive love freely. Try heart-opening yoga poses or visualize a green light expanding from your chest to fill the world with love.



5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)


Location: Throat area

Color: Blue

Element: Ether

Sound: HAM

Action: I speak

Affirmation: "I speak my truth with clarity."


Yoga Pose: Fish Pose (Matsyasana), Lion’s Breath (Simhasana)


Vishuddha is the energy center of communication and expression. It’s where you speak your truth and share your authentic self. To unblock it, sing, hum, or practice affirmations aloud. Even a good belly laugh can activate this chakra!



6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)


Location: Between the eyebrows, the “third eye” area

Color: Indigo

Element: Light

Sound: OM

Action: I see

Affirmation: "I see clearly. I trust my intuition."


Yoga Pose: Child’s Pose (Balasana), Seated Meditation


Ajna is your gateway to inner wisdom and intuition. When balanced, you see the bigger picture and trust your inner voice. Quiet the mind through meditation or simply gaze at the sky to open this chakra and expand your perspective.



7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)


Location: Top of the head

Color: Violet or White

Element: Thought

Sound: Silent or OM

Action: I understand

Affirmation: "I am connected to all that is."


Yoga Pose: Corpse Pose (Savasana), Headstand (Sirsasana) for advanced practice


Sahasrara connects you to the divine and the universe. It’s your portal to higher consciousness and spiritual understanding. Spend time in stillness or practice meditations focusing on connection to nurture this energy center.
